SCA Barista Skills Intermediate
A two-day course introducing extraction theory, professional tasting and brew recipes You will also improve you milk steaming with a latte art module. Building on the Foundation level, this course is designed to get participants to work as a Barista. We will show you how we can manipulate brew recipes with dose, output and water temperature and through the use of a refractometer, you will see how to optimise your coffee.
This course is accredited by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) – if you take the optional exam (CHF 70.-) you will earn 10 points toward your SCA Coffee Skills Programme.
SCA Barista Skills Intermediate is a two-day class, running from 9am to 5pm on both days, including a one hour lunch break.
