SCA Brewing Professional
A three day course. You will learn about the interrelated effects of the following variables in brewed coffee: freshness, roast level, grind, water chemistry and brew recipe. By the end of the course you will be master the brew control chart, design various recipes to achieve your flavour and extraction goals. You will analyse water chemistry and explore different water filtration methods. On completion of the course you will be able to do effective quality control.
You should have completed the SCA Barista Intermediate course to enrol on this course, and ideally have experience as a barista.
This course is accredited by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) – if you take the optional exam (CHF 150.-) you will earn 25 points toward your SCA Coffee Skills Programme.
SCA Brewing Skills Intermediate is a three-day class, running from 9am to 5pm on both days, including a one hour lunch break.
